I just posted a video about the things I always pack when I leave home.
From road trips to cross-country flights, these are the essentials.

π Recent Pickups
There's a new kid on the block in the short guy clothing niche, and it's called Abbreviated Apparel.
Its founder, Mike (who I featured a while back as someone to follow), cut his teeth at Abercrombie & Fitch and Old Navy before starting his own menswear brand.
He sent me a few samples recently, and I was pleasantly surprised with...well, all of them.
Here's what I love about these clothes:
- The colors are easy to mix and match
- The fabrics feel substantial
- The fits are comfy but not sloppy
Here's a short try-on video if you haven't seen it yet.
And if you want to check out Abbreviated for yourself, use the code BROCKMCGOFF for 15% off your order.

π Food for Thought
I perform in my watches. I'll jump in the water, I sweat in them. I'm not spending money on these things that I claim I like and not enjoying them. I'm living in all of it.

π€³πΌ Who I'm Following
Evan, a.k.a. You're Terrific, is one of my favorite watch YouTubers.
He's a skilled videographer and photographer with a uniquely colorful aesthetic and fondness for 80s era synth wave background music.
But he also has a refreshingly playful attitude toward watch collecting.
Don't get me wrong: he knows his stuff. But he also doesn't take the hobby too seriously.

β βDid you know? Chore coats are popular these days, but "shackets" actually date back to 19th century France, where they were worn by railway workers and farm laborers. The big patch pockets were designed to hold tools, although now most guys just just them for oversized smartphones π
