π More Shorter Guy Clothes
I did a quick review of Abbreviated Apparel a few weeks ago (watch on YouTube).
Since then, Mike (the brand's founder) sent over two new items for me to try on.
I love them. They're just π€πΌ
First, the Lined Work Jacket, which is like a classic Carhartt or Dickies jacket with a shorter body and sleeves.
The XS fits me perfectly.
It's a bit warmer than a chore coat, perfect for mild southwest winters.
Second, the Cotton Fisherman Sweater, a chunky 100% cotton top that's relaxed in all the right places.
I'm a svelte guy. Most "relaxed fit" sweaters are too baggy on me. But this one is just right.
Abbreviated is not only nailing the fit of their clothes. They're doing a great job choosing what pieces to make, and making sure their entire collection feels cohesive (i.e., you can mix and match everything).
If you're a shorter guy who hasn't tried Abbreviated yet, you're missing out! Check 'em out here (use code BROCKMCGOFF for 15% off).

βοΈ Watch List
I subscribe to It's About Time, a newsletter that covers the most exciting watch releases, everything from major luxury to obscure microbrands.
Rarely do I see something that I'd seriously consider buying.
But this Tudor has me doing some math (what would I have to sell to afford it?).
I always thought the 36mm Ranger was just a poor man's Explorer. Not that there's anything wrong with that, but given the choice, most people would take the Rolex.
But then they dropped the beige dial variant π
Just as versatile as black, maybe even more legible. The light dial will wear slightly larger.
And it's half the price of an Explorer I. Still a lot of money, though!
At the very least, I want to try this one IRL at some point.
What do you think? Would you wear it?

π€³πΌ Who I'm Following
I found James Leung on YouTube, his main platform.
In a sea of juiced out bros screaming at us about what henley shirt will get you laid, James brings a relaxed, practical voice to the men's lifestyle niche.
His style is a bit more fashion forward than your average Joe, but it's still plenty relatable.
He just seems like a cool guy, and I appreciate his level-headed vibe.

π·οΈ Sale Picks
You're probably getting bombarded with ads right now. Just a reminder: do NOT buy stuff just because it's on sale.
So far, my Black Friday purchases have been a cheap vacuum for my office, and a hair dryer for my wife.
Here are a few other things that I already own and love, and that are on sale right now:
Again, don't get sucked in by sale season FOMO. Only buy stuff that's already on your wish list, or that you really need (Iike underwear, probably).

β βDid you know? Tudor originally existed so Rolex could test new ideas without risking its main brand. Hans Wilsdorf created Tudor in 1926 to offer Rolex-level reliability at a lower price, letting him experiment with new designs and movements, many of which became Rolex staples.
